
Dragons on TV Friday and Saturday

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons games on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 will be televised from Fifth Third Field on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2 (Time Warner Basic Cable Channel 23 and Digital Channel 372). The games begin at 7:00 p.m. against the Lansing Lugnuts.
On Friday, former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Doug Bair will serve as the guest commentator, while WHIO TV Sports Director Mike Hartsock will handle the commentary on Saturday. Dragons Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Tom Nichols will handle the play-by-play.
Bair was the Dragons pitching coach for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He spent 15 years in the big leagues from 1976-'90 as a pitcher, appearing in 584 games. Bair was third in the National League in saves in 1978 in his first season with the Reds. Bair had 50 saves over the 1978-'80 seasons with the Reds, where his teammates included Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, George Foster, Ken Griffey, and Dave Concepcion among others. Bair later pitched on two World Series champions (1982 St. Louis Cardinals; '84 Detroit Tigers).
Hartsock is a native of the Miami Valley and has covered sports at WHIO TV since 1982, serving as Sports Director since 1989. He has covered three Super Bowls, the 1990 World Series, and the 1996 Olympics.
The Dragons will televise 25 games from Fifth Third Field this season. The telecasts are produced by the Dragons' in-house production crew. Among others who have or will be scheduled for appearances as guest commentators this season are:
