Last Game: Wednesday: Dayton 2, South Bend 1. Four Dragons pitchers combined to allow just one run, scattering eight hits over the first six innings before retiring the final 10 batters of the game. South Bend stranded 10 runners and had men in scoring position in each of the first six innings. Starting pitcher Tyler Mondile worked five scoreless innings for the win. Reliever Dauri Moreta was brilliant, striking out six of the seven batters he faced over a perfect outing, and Ryan Nutof pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for the save. Jose Garcia had two hits including an RBI double for Dayton.

Hendrik Clementina is hitting .322 on the year with a .603 slugging percentage. He is tied for fourth in the MWL in home runs with nine despite not having enough plate appearances to qualify for the batting lead. With his current averages, he would rank tied for fourth in the league in batting average and second in slugging percentage if he qualified.

Dauri Moreta in his last three relief appearances: 5.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 11 SO.
