Dayton Dragons News Release
Eastlake, Ohio-The Midwest League game between the Dayton Dragons and Lake County Captains was suspended by rain on Tuesday night with Dayton leading 2-0 at the end of three innings. The game will be completed in Dayton on a date to be determined when the Captains visit Dayton August 13-15. Additional information will be announced on Wednesday.
The Dragons scored in the top of the first inning to take an early lead. Jefry Sierra walked, stole second, and scored on David Vidal's single to left to make it 1-0. In the third, Dayton scored again when Chris Berset singled to right, went to second on Theo Bowe's sacrifice, took third on an error, and scored on a double play ball to give Dayton a 2-0 lead.
The game was delayed for 49 minutes in the top of the third inning. When the game resumed, Dragons reliever Brian Pearl replaced Kyle Lotzkar on the mound and pitched a scoreless bottom of the third before a second delay occurred. The game could not be resumed after the second delay.
