Dragons on Television

Games on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22 will be televised on WHIO Channel 7.2 and Time Warner Cable Channel 708 to over 400,000 households

* Former Reds infielder Chris Sexton will provide color commentary Friday, August 21

* WHIO-TV Sports Director Mike Hartsock will provide color commentary Saturday, August 22

* These will be the final televised Dragons games of the 2009 regular season

* Thursday, August 20: NFL Hall of Fame tight end and Central State University Athletic Director Kellen Winslow scheduled to throw out first pitch

Dragons' Playoff Push

* The Dragons are coming off a four-game road trip at Fort Wayne

* As of Tuesday afternoon, Dayton is one-half game behind South Bend for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Division

* Following this series, the Dragons will play their final four series of the regular season against the three other teams they are competing with for the playoffs (two series with South Bend, and one each with Lansing and Great Lakes)

* West Michigan is the Midwest League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers; the Whitecaps have already qualified for the postseason by virtue of their second-place finish in the first half

* West Michigan won three of four games in Dayton last week
