Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lugnuts (affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) in the last game of a four-game set. This is the final road game of the 2010 season for the Dragons.

Last Game: Dayton pulled off its biggest comeback of the season, scoring seven runs in the ninth inning to overcome a five-run deficit to defeat Lansing 9-7. The Dragons trailed 7-1 after six innings before scoring one in the seventh. The Dragons trailed 7-2 going to the ninth inning. Still trailing 7-6 with two outs, Josh Garton delivered a two-out, two-run single to give the club the lead, and Blaine Howell pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth for the save. The Dragons collected 14 hits including two hits by Garton, Justin Reed, Dominic D'Anna, Tommy Nurre, and Frank Pfister.

Today's Starting Pitcher: Ricky Bowen hopes to earn his third straight win tonight as he makes his 15th start of the season. Bowen last pitched on Thursday at South Bend (6.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO, win). He began the season in extended spring training and joined the Dragons on May 25. Bowen was selected by the Reds in the 43rd round of the 2009 draft out of Mississippi State University. After signing with the Reds last summer, Bowen logged just 14.1 innings, going 0-2, 6.28 with Billings (Pioneer League). Bowen went 2-3, 8.44 at MSU as a junior in the spring of 2009. Bowen, 23, is a native of Jasper, Alabama.

Individual Notes

* Henry Rodriguez has hit safely in 15 straight games, going 25 for 61, .410, to raise his batting average to .304. He is batting .333 since June 1 to raise his batting average from .260 to .304. He is hitting .336 in the second half to lead the team.

* Josh Garton is 10 for 23, .435 with five doubles over his last six games, raising his average from .233 to .249.

* Mark Fleury is 9 for 24, .375 over his last six games, raising his average from .231 to .241.

* Kevyn Feiner is 8 for 23, .348 with two home runs over his last six games, raising his average from .160 to .188.

* Tommy Nurre is 6 for 14, .429 over his last four games since coming off the disabled list.

* Chase Weems is 11 for 32, .344 over his last 10 games, raising his average from .176 to .220.

* Alex Oliveras has hit safely in six straight games.

Team Notes

* The Dragons have won eight of their last 10 games. They are 10-6 over their last 16 games after going 3-28 from July 9-August 13.

* With a win tonight, the Dragons would earn series wins in three straight sets for the first time in 2010. They have won two straight sets overall for the first time since July 4-9.

* Prior to the start of this series, the Dragons won two of three games at South Bend to win their first road series since they swept Bowling Green in a three-game set July 7-9.
