DAYTON, OH - The Dayton Dragons (28-34; 56-76) got the best of Chad Beck for the fourth time in 2009, handing the Lansing Lugnuts (25-37; 51-80) an 8-2 defeat on Sunday night at Fifth Third Field.

Beck (6-8) lasted just three innings, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits and a walk while tossing a season-high three wild pitches. Four Lugnuts errors contributed to Texan's misery, helping to build an insurmountable Dragons lead.

The Texan right-hander lost all four 2009 starts against Dayton, posting an ERA of 15.85 in those starts.

Dayton starter Ezequiel Infante (2-1) picked up the win, reached for only a two-out, two-run single by Welinton Ramirez in the sixth inning.

The single by Ramirez gave him hits in each of his first 10 games with the Lugnuts. The 22-year-old Dominican native is batting an even .400 for Lansing, collecting 16 hits in 40 at-bats.

Josh Fellhauer went 3-for-5 to lead the winning effort for Dayton, while Alex Oliveras, Chase Weems, and Miguel Rojas each scored a pair of runs.

For the Lugnuts, shortstop Ryan Goins went 2-for-4 with a double in the losing cause.

The teams play the finale of their four-game series on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Field. Lansing left-hander John Anderson (2-6, 4.42) gets the start opposite Dragons right-hander Jordan Hotchkiss (3-5, 2.77).
