WINSTON-SALEM, NC (MAY 20, 2011) - The Winston-Salem Dash announced today that RHP Terry Doyle has been promoted to AA Birmingham. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.

Doyle was 0-5 with a 3.68 ERA in eight starts for Winston-Salem. In his most recent outing, he tied a career-high with eight innings pitched on May 16 against Myrtle Beach. He gave up three runs (two earned) with four strikeouts, but took the loss. Five of Doyle's eight starts were quality, and he is currently one of seven Carolina League pitchers to throw a complete game in 2011. Doyle threw six innings and gave up three runs (all earned), but got the loss in game two of a doubleheader against Potomac on April 13.

The Rhode Island native was Winston-Salem's Opening Day starter in 2011. He was promoted from low-A Kannapolis in mid-May of last year and spent most of the season with the Dash. He went 8-8 with a 3.71 ERA in 20 starts for Winston-Salem in 2010.

The Dash roster now stands at 24 players, one below the Carolina League limit.
