Double Fireworks and Fun on Tap for the June 17-20 Woodchucks Homestand

Wausau, WIS- The upcoming homestand starts tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, 2015. This four day stand of home games will have a variety of fun events and activities.
The Wisconsin Woodchucks will take on the Lakeshore Chinooks at Athletic Park on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17th, to kick off the weekend. Bucket Ruckus will bring the fun and exciting entertainment all night. It is also the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce Night, and both of these events are presented by Wipfli CPAs & Consultants. Before the game we will also be giving away Grand Lodge Waterpark Resort passes to the first 500 kids who are 12 and under. Gates to Pepsi Fan Zone open at 5:35 p.m.
Thursday, June 18th is the Marshfield Clinic Cancer Awareness Night. The Woodchucks will be wearing special uniforms that will be auctioned off to help raise money for cancer awareness and screenings. Support cancer awareness and the Woodchucks by coming out June 18th. Also, courtesy of Hardees, 500 Thickburger coupons will be given to the first fans inside the gate. Thursday's game will start at 7:05 p.m. as the Woodchucks take on the Chinooks for a second night. Gates to the Pepsi Fan Zone will open 90 minutes prior to the first pitch.
The third game of this homestand is Friday, June 19th at 7:05 p.m. against the Duluth Huskies. Like every Friday of the season, there will be a Fish Fry special and an amazing post game fireworks show. This week the fireworks are presented by Cellcom. Athletic Park will also be hosting Boy Scouts Night at the Ballpark. Aside from the typical excitement at Athletic Park, Friday is also the 30th Anniversary of Super Mario Brothers. Come join the Woodchucks as we celebrate the anniversary of the release of the most influential video game in history.
The final game of this stretch of home games is Saturday, June 20th at 7:05 p.m., also against Duluth. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. to allow fans to enjoy German Heritage Night presented by Bull Falls. Bull Falls Blasmusikanten will be performing in the Pepsi Fan Zone area from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We've put together a special ticket package just for this event, $9.00 gets you a GA ticket to the game, a Trig's Smokehouse Brat and a Bull Falls tap beer in the Pepsi Fan Zone. Upgrade to a reserved ticket, brat and Bull Falls beer for $12.00. As an added bonus to our fans we will be doing a second firework show this week on Saturday! Saturday's fireworks are presented by Ministry Health Care.
