The Duluth Huskies (13-8) snapped their 4-game winning streak by falling to the Eau Claire Express 4-2.

The Huskies jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the 2nd inning when first baseman Alex Wojciechowski led off with a double then advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch. He then scored on an RBI single from right fielder Jean Figueroa. Figueroa later scored on a single from second baseman Jimmy Heck. Figueroa led the Huskies going 2 for 4 with an RBI. Jimmy Heck also added an RBI while 1 for 2.

Eau Claire tied the game in the 5th and took the lead for good in the 7th when catcher Nathan Krause led off with a single. Krause advanced to 2nd on a single from centerfielder Brady Burzynski. He later scored on an RBI single from shortstop Irving Lopez. Daulton Varsho led the way for the Express going 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs with one of those hits being an inside the park home run. Kale Latorre was the winning pitcher for the Express while Eric Morell got the loss for the Huskies.

The Huskies will be back at Wade on Sunday the 21st to begin a two-game series against the Willmar Stingers.
