
Dopirak Promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas

Manchester, NH- One day after representing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in the Eastern League All-Star Game, first baseman Brian Dopirak was promoted to the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s of the Pacific Coast League by the Toronto Blue Jays, parent club of the Fisher Cats and 51s, on Thursday.
Dopirak, 25, leaves the Fisher Cats as the league leader in HR (19), RBI (68), slugging percentage (.576), doubles (29) and extra-base hits (49). He also ranks among the leaders in average (.308/9th) and hits (101/T-2nd). Dopirak's single-season SLG% ranks first in franchise history, and he is in line to finish tied for third in club history in single-season AVG. (Rob Cosby-2005) and tied for fifth in single-season HR (Adam Lind, David Smith-2006). In addition, Dopirak leads the 2009 Fisher Cats in games (87), at-bats (328), runs (44) and OPS. (.951).
To replace Dopirak on the roster, infielder Jonathan Diaz was transferred to New Hampshire from Las Vegas. Diaz was on the Fisher Cats Opening Day roster, appearing in 20 games prior to being promoted to the 51s on May 12.
