The Hamilton Bulldogs open their 2006-2007 regular season schedule this week. The "ËDogs home and season opener will take place on Friday, October 6th when they host their North Division rival the Manitoba Moose at 7:30 p.m. on "ËBill Surrup' night at Copps Coliseum. Hamilton's second scheduled game isn't until Friday October 13th when they will host the defending Calder Cup Champion Hershey Bears. The Bulldogs head into the regular season after posting a preseason record of 1-3-0-0.

- With the trade of Bulldogs graduate C Mike Ribeiro and a 6th round draft pick to the Dallas Stars in exchange for D Janne Niinimaa and a 5th round draft pick, C Tomas Plekanec looks to move up the depth chart at center for the Canadiens after concluding the preseason with five points (1-4-5) in five games
- RW Alexander Perezhogin scored the overtime game-winning goal on Tuesday September 26th, to help the Habs capture their second preseason win, with a 4-3 triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning
- Shawn Horcoff finished the preseason with five points (1-4-5) in four games with the Edmonton Oilers
- Jarret Stoll led the Oilers with six points (4-2-6) in four preseason games
