Moose Reduce Roster to 26

Yesterday, the Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have reduced their training camp roster by 14. As a result, the number of players on their roster is now 26.

The following players were assigned to their designated clubs:

LW Andrew Contois Gwinnett Gladiators (ECHL)

D Phil Cole Augusta Lynx (ECHL)

C Matt Craig Utah Grizzlies (ECHL)

RW Steve Crampton Las Vegas Thunder (ECHL)

C Francois-Pierre Gunette Victoria Salmon Kings (ECHL)

D Matt Kelly Victoria Salmon Kings (ECHL)

LW David Masse Tulsa Oilers (CHL)

C Warren McCutcheon Victoria Salmon Kings (ECHL)

The following players were released:

RW Milan Gajic

C Justin Mapletoft

D Nick Naumenko

The Manitoba Moose will continue to prepare for their 2006-07 regular season opener with a practice tomorrow, Monday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at River Heights Arena. The Moose will open their sixth season in the American Hockey League Wednesday, October 4th in Wilkes-Barre against the Penguins at 6:05 p.m. The game can be heard live on CJOB 680 AM beginning at 5:35 p.m..
