Ottawa assigns six more players to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators were assigned six more players on Monday morning after Ottawa made their final cuts and finalized their 22-man roster.

Arriving from Ottawa are defenseman Michal Barinka and forward Josh Hennessy. Defensemen Jamie Allison, Andy Hedlund and Tomas Malec, along with forward Serge Payer were placed on waiver until noon on Tuesday, Oct. 3. These four players must pass through waivers before they can suit up for Binghamton.

Released from their tryout agreements in Binghamton to make room on the roster were defensemen Chris Cava, T.J. Kemp and Rob LaLonde, along with forwards Shawn Collymore and John Snowden.

Binghamton will kick off the regular season on Saturday, Oct.7 vs. Syracuse at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Tickets are still available for opening weekend. Fans can purchase tickets at the Senators front office on third floor of the Arena. That office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Fans can also purchase tickets by calling 722-SENS.
