
Dodgers Can't Break Albuquerque's Pen

The Albuquerque Isotopes scored two runs in the third inning and led the rest of the way Sunday afternoon, sending the Oklahoma City Dodgers to a 4-1 loss at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Isotopes (46-59) hit back-to-back doubles to score their first run of the day and later added a sacrifice fly to take a 2-0 lead. In the fourth inning, Albuquerque's Taylor Snyder and Nick Longhi each hit RBI singles in the fourth inning to boost the Isotopes' lead to 4-0. The lone run of the day for the Dodgers (52-53) scored in the fifth inning. Elliot Soto and Aldrich De Jongh hit back-to-back doubles with two outs as they cut Albuquerque's lead to 4-1. The Dodgers were then held to one hit over the final four innings as the Isotopes outhit the Dodgers, 6-4.
Of Note:
-With Sunday's loss, the Dodgers' overall record dipped back below .500 to 52-53 after back-to-back wins as the Isotopes tied the current series, 2-2. The Dodgers have now lost 12 of the last 16 games overall and seven of their last 10 home games at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark during the current homestand.
-The Dodgers were held to one run for the fourth time in their last eight losses and for the fourth time in their last 11 games overall. Prior to the recent stretch that began with an 8-1 loss Aug. 24 in Sugar Land, the Dodgers had been held to one run or less in just five of their first 94 games this season.
-Two of OKC's four total hits Sunday came in the fifth inning as the Dodgers were held to their lowest hit total since picking up just three hits Aug. 24 in Sugar Land (a span of 10 games). Sunday marked the ninth time in 105 games this season OKC collected four or fewer hits in a game...However, three of the Dodgers' four hits Sunday were doubles and OKC has 17 extra base hits through the first four games of the current series.
-Aldrich De Jongh's RBI double in the fifth inning scored OKC's lone run of the day. In his 11 games with OKC, De Jongh has seven hits, including five doubles, and four RBI.
-The Dodgers' bullpen allowed just one hit over five scoreless innings to close out Sunday's game. Vidal Nuño, Victor González, Logan Salow, Darien Núñez and James Pazos each pitched scoreless frames for OKC...The Dodgers' pitching staff did not issue a walk for the fourth time this season and for the first time since Aug. 13 against Round Rock in OKC.
