Oklahoma City, OK - The Dodgers' Gavin Stone fire 6.0 shutout innings while Justin Hagenman finished the final three frames en route to a 3-0 blanking of Albuquerque Sunday afternoon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Topes Scope:
- The Isotopes were blanked for the second time this season (also: May 11 at Las Vegas) and the 10th time against the Dodgers/Redhawks since 2005 (MLB Database).
-The Isotopes have not committed an error in five-straight games, tying their longest streak of the season set May 13-18. Their 56 errors are the second-fewest in the Pacific Coast League and tied for the eighth-fewest in all of Triple-A.
-The Isotopes failed to steal a bag, ending their franchise-tying streak of nine-straight games with a stolen base. During the nine-game stretch Albuquerque stolen 21 bags and were only caught once. The Isotopes' have stolen a base in nine-straight on three previous occasions: July 19, 2013 - July 27, 2013; April 16, 2008 - April 25, 2008; and May 1, 2007 - May 9, 2007.
-Albuquerque did not tally an extra-base hit for the seventh time this season and second time against the Dodgers.
-The Club also did not draw a walk for the third time this season (also: June 2 at Salt Lake; June 24 at Reno).
-Albuquerque has gone three-straight games without a homer, matching its season-long drought (also: May 10-12 at Las Vegas). The three homers over the six-game set is a series season-low, beating the previous low of five set May 30 - June 4 at Salt Lake.
-Cole Tucker collected two hits for his 17th multi-hit effort and to extend his hit streak to eight games. During the streak, he is slashing .485/.564/.727 with three doubles, one triple, one homer and five multi-hit games.
-Connor Kaiser also tallied two hits for his 13th multi-hit contest of the year and second in four games. Has just four hits in his last nine games (4x31, .129)
-Michael Toglia recorded two hits for his 15th multi-hit game of the year and to extend his on-base streak to 25 games. During the stretch, he is slashing .280/.412/.581 with four doubles, eight homers, 28 RBI and 23 walks.
-Noah Davis made his first start since June 24 and tossed 3.0 innings and allowed just one run on four hits one homer and one walk while fanning two. He was charged with his third loss of the year.
-Albuquerque held the Dodgers to three runs on the afternoon. Over the Isotopes last 11 games, the pitching staff has held their opponent to three runs or fewer in eight of those contests.
-However, the Isotopes staff fanned just three Dodger hitters on the afternoon, tied for the third-fewest this season and one shy of the season-low set twice.
-Dodgers starter Gavin Stone pitched 6.0 shutout innings and allowed just three hits while fanning eight. He became the third opposing starter to toss 6.0 shutout innings this year while tallying the third-most strikeouts (tied, twice; also: Nick Davila, vs. Tacoma May 17). The three hits are also tied for the third-fewest relented in 2023 (five times).
-Albuquerque is 6-9 in series finales and 4-4 on the road. The club has lost two-straight series finales on the road.
-The Isotopes four-game winning streak came to an but the club still leads the second-half Pacific Coast League standings (9-3).
