Dickenson scores two as Gladiators defeat Sea Wolves 6-2

BILOXI, MS - The Gwinnett Gladiators defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves by the score of 6-2 in front of a season-high 8,653 fans at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Gwinnett got on the board just three minutes into the first period when Jeff Campbell scored his first of three goals on the evening, firing a wrist shot that beat Sea Wolves goalie Ryan Munce over the catching glove. Jason Tejchma would even the score when he hammered home Ryan Menei's feed from behind the goal line for his 19th goal of the season at 5:05 of the first. Gwinnett would get the lead back at 12:21 of the first as Brad Schell picked up his fourth goal of the season.

Lou Dickenson increased the Gladiators lead to two when he fired a wrist shot past Munce at 12:37 of the second period. Jeff Campbell would add a shorthand goal at 3:13 of the third period and an even-strength goal at 8:45 to complete his hat trick. Marek Kvapil would pot his ninth goal of the year at 10:06 to draw the Sea Wolves within three, but Lou Dickenson would add his second of the night and 25th of the season to give Gwinnett a 6-2 lead at 12:09.

Ryan Munce made 20 saves on 25 shots to earn the loss, and Morgan Cey made five saves on six shots in 11:15 of relief work, earning a no decision. The Sea Wolves were 0-for-6 on the power play.
