Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas - The Arkansas Travelers (2-6, 38-40) lost for the fourth consecutive game on Friday night, falling 7-3 to the Midland RockHounds (3-5, 37-41). Dan Denham (6-6) was ineffective and took the loss for the Travs. Midland's two runs in the seventh inning off reliever Daniel Davidson put the game out of the Travs reach and cemented the RockHounds' sixth win in seven games against the Travs.

Denham got into trouble in the second inning with two outs, issuing a walk followed by three base hits to give Midland a 2-0 advantage.

The RockHounds stretched the lead to 5-0 off Denham in the fourth inning on Todd Donavon's infield, RBI single and Aaron Cunningham's 2-RBI single.

The Travs got three runs back in the bottom of the fourth inning against Midland starter Trevor Cahill (2-0). Adam Greenberg led off the inning with a walk, moved to third on Wil Ortiz' double, and came home to score on Chris Pettit's sacrifice fly. The next batter, Ben Johnson, hit his Texas League leading 18th home run to score Ortiz and make the score 5-3.

In Pettit's first game back from the DL, he finished 0-for-2 with an RBI. One year after being named the Angel's Minor League Player of the Year for 2007, Pettit is still searching for his first hit at the Double-A level.

Two runs in the seventh inning from Midland were all the RockHounds needed to put the game away and ensure the series victory. Davidson entered his third inning of work but was unable to retire a batter before giving way to Francisco Rodriguez with two men on and no outs. Rodriguez permitted both runners to score before recording an out.

Rodriguez allowed an RBI single to Anthony Recker to score Tommy Everidge and then with Myron Leslie batting, Rodriguez uncorked a wild pitch to plate Jon Zeringue with Midland's seventh run.

The game's turning point happened in the fifth inning when the Travs had the bases loaded but were unable to score. Two walks and a single loaded the bases with just one out and the heart of the Travelers' order due up. Pettit grounded to the third baseman who came home to cut down the lead runner. Ben Johnson followed Pettit with a fly out to left field to leave the bases full.

For the second consecutive night, the Travs have faced a 'Hounds starter that will pitch for Team USA in the Future's Game. Thursday night's starter Brett Anderson and Friday's starter Cahill were both called upon to represent our country in the Future's Game.
