Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to partner up with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) for the first time ever for âBleed Blue Thursday,' to be held at CBCO's Springdale Donor Center at 3503 S. Thompson. The drive will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. All donors must bring photo identification.
The Naturals will also be on hand at the blood drive with some of their inflatables from the KC Royals Kids Zone at Arvest Ballpark, and the popular mascot Strike will make an appearance.
"We believe deeply in the cause and we always do whatever we can to support worthwhile efforts like this," stated Naturals' General Manager Eric Edelstein.
Every participant in the âBleed Blue Thursday' Blood Drive will receive two general admission tickets to the Naturals game on Monday, July 14th against our in-state rival Arkansas Travelers. Paid upgrades on those complimentary tickets will be available at the Naturals box office. Participants also will receive a commemorative blue t-shirt featuring the Naturals cap insignia (the lightning bolt âN'). Donors may also register for prizes including autographed memorabilia and the opportunity to throw out a commemorative first pitch at the game.
âBleed Blue Thursday' Blood Drive is presented by Arvest Bank, KHOG-TV, radio stations 92.1 The Keg, Sam 98, News/Talk 1030 KFAY and US 94.
"We're so proud of our new team and pleased they realize the importance of a readily available supply of blood for area patients," said CBCO Arkansas Donor Recruitment Manager Meredith Bolt. "This drive comes at a time when blood supplies are pretty low. I hope everyone will wear blue on July 10th to show their support for Naturals baseball and our area hospital patients."
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale. The Naturals have a toll-free ticket hotline (1-877-444-2637) for fans to purchase Naturals tickets. Our website also offers fans the opportunity to purchase tickets online and avoid lines at the ticket windows by printing their tickets at home or at the office.
