Defenseman Tyler Sloan Reassigned to Dayton

Syracuse, NY (January 29, 2003) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defenseman Tyler Sloan to the Dayton Bombers (ECHL).

Sloan, 21, has appeared in 29 games with Syracuse this season, recording two goals, one assist and 34 penalty minutes. In 10 games with Dayton earlier this season, Sloan recorded one goal, two assists and 15 penalty minutes. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Sloan was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 24, 2000.

The Crunch travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tonight for a 7:05 p.m. match-up. Syracuse returns home on Saturday, February 1 to host the Rochester Americans, featuring Bradley's Diamond-In-A-Bag program.
