Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) battle the Lansing Lugnuts (affiliate of the Athletics) in the fifth game of a seven-game series. Season Series: Dayton 3, Lansing 3 (all games played in Lansing).

Last Game: Thursday: Lansing 9, Dayton 8 (10 innings). The Lugnuts captured the win with a walk-off hit batsman with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10 th. Dayton trailed 7-5 in the top of the ninth when Alfredo Duno blasted a monstrous home run to left field to tie the game. The Dragons trailed 3-0 after two innings but took the lead with a four-run third, keyed by RBI doubles by Kien Vu, Ryan McCrystal, and Yerlin Confidan. But Lansing regained the lead with three runs in the sixth to go up 6-5. Dayton scored one in the top of the 10 th but Lansing won with two in the bottom of the same inning.

He hit one home run and had an OPS of .874. Sanchez hit .326 and ranked in the top four in the MWL in hits, runs, and steals (12 SB) with an OPS of .850. The Pitcher of the Month was Victor Diaz. He made six relief appearances, going 1-0 with three saves and a 1.74 ERA. He struck out 13 in 10.1 innings and held opponents to a .184 average.

Kien Vu has hit safely in 7 straight games, batting .370 (10 for 27) with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 8 R.

Esmith Pineda in his last 7 games is batting .348 (8 for 23).

After going 4 for 38 with 16 SO in 11 games from 4/12-4/26, Alfredo Duno is 4 for 14 (.286) with a home run, double, and three RBI in this series at Lansing.
