WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - With two outs and nobody on in the top of the eighth and the game tied at two, the Dash's Saturday contest against Wilmington at BB&T Ballpark was suspended due to rain and will resume at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Game two will be a nine-inning contest and will begin approximately 30 minutes following the completion of game one.

Gates will be open for all fans at 12:30 p.m. and tickets for Saturday's game will be exchangeable at the box office for both contests Sunday. Also, Lowes Foods Family Sunday will now run until 2:30 p.m., where fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and sodas through the first inning. Saturday's tickets that included hospitality can only exchanged for lower-level tickets without hospitality.

After an hour-long rain delay in the top of the seventh, the Dash and Blue Rocks resumed action. But, after Kelvis Valerio got two quick outs in the eighth, the field experienced another downpour and was later deemed unplayable.

Winston-Salem (21-34) struck quickly off Blue Rocks starter Zach Lovvorn in the first inning. With runners on second and third and one out, Keon Barnum put the Dash ahead 1-0 with an RBI groundout. With Marcus Davis at bat, Lovorn uncorked a wild pitch that allowed Michael Suiter to score to put Winston-Salem up two.

The lone scoring off Dash starter Jordan Stephens came on a two-run homer by Joshua Banuelos in the third inning.

The right-hander finished the contest throwing 6.1 frames and allowing just two earned runs. Stephens has now thrown five or more innings in his last five starts.

Marcus Davis extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a single in the first inning.

Coverage for game one on Sunday will begin at 12:45 p.m. and fans can catch the contest online at wsdash.com/broadcast, MiLB.tv, or the TuneIn App.

In game two, the Dash will send right-hander Spencer Adams (5-3, 3.88 ERA) to the hill against Wilmington right-hander Corey Ray (1-1, 4.63 ERA). Fans can watch game two on My 48 (WMYV-TV) or follow the contest at wsdash.com/broadcast, MiLB.tv or the TuneIn App.
