WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (July 4, 2014) - The Winston-Salem Dash are partnering with Flow Chevrolet in the 2014 Diamond in the Rough Ballpark Renovation, during which one local baseball field will be selected to win a major league makeover.

Area Little Leagues and softball leagues may now submit videos to the Dash social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, showing why their field is in need of renovation. Entries will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23.

The Dash and Flow Chevrolet will collaborate and select the four best video submissions, posting them on social media for a final public vote.

During the first weekend in August, the Dash grounds crew will head to the winning site to refurbish the field. Representatives from that facility will also be honored at BB&T Ballpark on Thursday, August 14 when the Dash host the Lynchburg Hillcats.

This marks the first year of the Diamond in the Rough Ballpark Renovation program. It follows similar baseball and softball field renovation programs that exist in both Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball.

The Dash will begin a big holiday weekend series at BB&T Ballpark tonight when the Wilmington Blue Rocks visit the Triad. There will be postgame fireworks shows tonight and Saturday. To purchase tickets and learn more about the numerous promotions during this three-game series, visit wsdash.com or call (336) 714-2287.
