Mathieu Darche picks up his first hat trick in a HERSHEY uniform to lead the BEARS to a 4-3 shootout win over the Philadelphia Phantoms at GIANT Center. The win was the second in a row over Philadelphia and the fifth of six games at home for the BEARS.
Peter Budaj won his fifth consecutive game, improving his record to 10-9-2. The BEARS finish the month of December with nine victories against just five defeats to push past Bridgeport and Albany in the East Division standings.
HERSHEY finishes a seven-game homestand Sunday against the Worcester IceCats at 5:00 p.m.
