On Thursday night, ex-Crunch goaltender J.S. Aubin made 63 saves and Ian White scored his first two pro goals as St. John's beat Syracuse, 5-3... Keith Aucoin scored three goals and assisted on another in Providence's 4-2 win over Springfield... On Wednesday, Simon Gamache set up all four second-period goals in Milwaukee's 4-1 win at Houston... Eric Perrin had two goals and two assists to pace Hershey to a 7-3 win over Binghamton... Mikhail Yakubov scored two minutes into overtime to give Norfolk a 2-1 win over host Philadelphia... Frederic Cassivi made 28 saves as Cincinnati blanked Hamilton, 2-0... Lowell got three unanswered goals to slip past Manchester, 4-2.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Chicago visits Manitoba for two games, beginning with a New Year's Eve matinee at the MTS Centre... The Wolves are clinging to a one-point lead atop the West Division, while the Moose are just one point off the pace in the North Division... J.P. Vigier extended his scoring streak to 10 games (6g, 9a) in the Wolves' 3-2 win over San Antonio on Wednesday... Kari Lehtonen stopped 36 shots for his seventh consecutive victory and 13th in his last 15 decisions... The Moose are 15-4-1-2 since Oct. 29, but just one game over .500 on home ice this season (7-6-0-1)... Ryan Kesler has seven points (2g, 5a) in his last three games for Manitoba... Moose head coach Randy Carlyle and Wolves counterpart John Anderson were teammates with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1977-78.
On a 10-1-1-2 tear, Rochester hosts Albany on Friday evening... The Amerks have won five in a row â their third such streak already this season â following Wednesday's 2-1 decision over the River Rats... Doug Janik scored for Rochester in that one, his first goal in 45 regular-season contests... Pascal Rheaume has recorded a point (5g, 1a) in six straight games, but Albany has lost all six by a combined 30-9... Ahren Nittel has five goals and an assist in eight contests since returning to the Rats lineup on Dec. 8... Amerks goaltender Ryan Miller owns a record of 19-5-3 in his AHL career during the month of December.
Providence, 8-0-0-3 in its last 11 games, continues a six-game road swing in Portland on Friday and in Manchester on Saturday... Andy Hilbert recorded five points in the Bruins' 7-1 win over the Pirates on Nov. 20, and has a point in all six games (3g, 6a) since Patrice Bergeron left to join Canada at the WJC tournament... That loss to Providence started Portland on its current 4-11-2-2 slide... After Thursday's hat trick, Keith Aucoin has eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 27 games since rejoining the B's, including 10 points in his last five contests.
