Dallas Stars Return Vishnevskiy

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Thursday that the club has assigned defenseman Ivan Vishnevskiy back to the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Vishnevskiy, 21, recorded two shots and 17:32 minutes of time on ice in his second NHL game of the season Monday, Dec. 21 against San Jose. The 6-1, 193-pound defenseman has played in 33 games for Texas this season, scoring four goals and nine assists. Vishnevskiy was Dallas' first round selection (27th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The Texas Stars will travel to San Antonio on Sunday, Dec. 27 to play the Rampage at 3:00 PM. Texas returns to the Cedar Park Center, taking on Syracuse at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
