Senators Recall Forward Ryan Keller From Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 26, 2009) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Ryan Keller on an emergency basis from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Keller, 25, leads the B-Sens with 13 goals, while adding 12 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 24 games. He made his National Hockey league debut on Nov. 25 in Ottawa's 3-1 loss at New Jersey. In four games with the Senators this season, he had been held scoreless while averaging 6:08 in time-on-ice per game.

In 94 career AHL games with Grand Rapids, Syracuse and Binghamton, Keller has recorded 57 points (28 goals and 29 assists) and has 66 penalty minutes.

Keller spent the previous two seasons playing for the Espoo Blues of the Finnish Elite League (SM-liiga). In 54 games with the Blues last season, he led the team in goals (21), assists (34) and points (55). The 5-10, 190-pound right-winger also led the Blues with 22 goals and 44 points, in addition to a team-high plus-minus rating of +22, in his first season in Finland in 2007-08.

The Senators next see action tonight when they visit the Buffalo Sabres. The B-Sens also see action tonight, when they host the Adirondack Phantoms.
