Dallas Recalls Mark Fistric

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White, announced today that defenseman Mark Fistric has been recalled to Dallas, Iowa's NHL affiliate.

Fistric, 21, has played in 15 games this season with Iowa earning 2 points (1-1-2), a -6 rating, and 30 PIM. The Edmonton, Alberta native skated in 80 regular season games for the Stars last season notching 24 points (2-22-24). Fistric was the first player in Iowa Stars history to play in all 80 games. He also played in all 12 Calder Cup playoff games for the Stars.

Fistric made his professional debut versus the San Antonio Rampage on October 7, 2006 where he recorded his first Pro point, an assist. Fistric recorded his first professional goal at the Hamilton Bulldogs (Yann Danis) on January 3, 2007.

Moving on in the season, Fistric was named by Iowa Hockey Operations Staff as Most Improved Player and was selected by his teammates as the Iowa Stars 7th Player Award Winner.
