Dallas Recalls Fabian Brunnstrom

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Wednesday that the club has recalled left wing Fabian Brunnstrom from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). He was assigned to Texas for a conditioning assignment on December 30, where he appeared in six games, scoring one goal and four assists for five points.

Brunnstrom, 24, has skated in 23 games for Dallas this season, collecting one goal and six assists. The 6-2, 212-pound left wing played in 55 games for the Stars in his first NHL season in 2008-09, recording 29 points (17g, 12a). The Jonstorp, Sweden native skated for Farjestads BK of the Swedish Elite League in 2007-08, notching nine goals and 28 assists in 54 games. He was signed as a free agent by Dallas on May 8, 2008.

The Stars will host the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 PM on Friday, Jan. 15. The first 2,000 fans receive a Texas Stars Fleece Blanket. Also, fans will be able to purchase $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs. Texas will travel to Cleveland for back-to-back games against the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 PM and then again on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 12:00 PM. All games can be heard on the Stars flagship station ESPNAustin 104.9 FM "The Horn" or ESPNAustin 1530-AM.
