Michael Busto Reassigned To Elmira Jackals

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that defenceman Michael Busto has been reassigned from the Hamilton Bulldogs to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Busto, 23, played in two games with the Dayton Gems of the International Hockey League this season but was held pointless. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound defenceman skated in 54 games with the Charlotte Checkers in 2008-2009 earning 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and 41 penalty minutes. The native of Burnaby, British Columbia was acquired by Montreal along with Scott Gomez and Tom Pyatt in an off-season trade with the New York Rangers.

The Bulldogs will host the Lake Erie Monsters tonight for a 7:30 p.m. game at Copps Coliseum.
