Luciano Acosta recorded his second assist of 2019 when he set up Rooney's 23rd minute goal.

Akeem Ward and Ulises Segura replaced Leonardo Jara and Zoltán Stieber in the starting XI, respectively.

New signing Chris McCann made his debut as a halftime substitute.

Bill Hamid recorded his fourth consecutive clean sheet; he was substituted in the 45th minute.
