
Philadelphia Union Announce 2019 #MLSisBack Week Schedule

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union today announced #MLSisBack Week events with a series of activities for fans to celebrate the Union's home opener on March 2 at 1:00 p.m. ET against Toronto FC. With the United States Women's National Team also playing at Talen Energy Stadium on February 27, fans, businesses and local soccer teams are encouraged to show how they celebrate soccer in the city of Brotherly Love on social media with hashtags #PhillyLovesSoccer and #MLSisBack.
Events include:
Mon., Feb. 25 - Philly Blitz: The Union are taking over Philadelphia for the day! Come see us at the Independence LIVE Courtyard at 1919 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. for t-shirt pressing, Phang, and giveaways. Select 10th season merchandise pieces will also be available. Keep an eye out for Union flags throughout the city at your favorite bars and businesses.
Tues., Feb. 26 - Meet the Team: Come and meet the entire 2019 Philadelphia Union team! The annual event, presented by Xfinity, will take place from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Dave & Buster's, located at 325 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19106. The first hour, from 7-8, will be exclusively for season ticket members, while 8-9 will be open to all fans to talk with players, get autographs, play games, and much more. Please RSVP to reserve your spot!
Wed., Feb. 27 - She Believes Cup - 4pm (England vs. Brazil) and 7pm (USA vs. Japan): Join Phang on the pre-game Plaza from 5-7pm for a free tailgate provided by ACME. Phang's Kids Club members can also pick up their membership items at the event. Activities, games, and live graffiti for kids will take place!
Thurs., Feb. 28 - Season Kickoff Press Conference & Esports Media Mayhem: Tune into the Union's Facebook for a live feed of a press conference with Sporting Director Ernst Tanner, and Head Coach Jim Curtin. Stay tuned on the Union's social channels for the first annual Esports Media Mayhem Event, presented by Independence Blue Cross - Follow along to see your favorite Philly media personalities faceoff in FIFA gaming action!
Fri., March 1 - Rep Your City!: Tag a picture with hashtags #MLSisBack and #PhillyLovesSoccer to show us how you celebrate the sport of soccer in Philadelphia. Lucky fans will appear on the Union social channels and could win prizes or tickets to the home opener.
