D.C. United News Release
Washington, D.C. (February 28, 2014) - D.C. United has announced that Mike Schoenbrun has been named the club's Chief Revenue Officer. Schoenbrun, who joined D.C. United in January 2013 as Vice President of Development and Partnerships, takes charge of all media, marketing and commercial revenues, including retail, sponsorship, corporate partnerships and ticket sales.
During his tenure, Schoenbrun has strengthened D.C. United's account and client services, while revolutionizing the club's approach to commercial opportunities. He recently helped secure D.C. United's newest presenting sponsorship, completing an agreement with Leidos, Inc., as the team's presenting partner. The long-term relationship combines the power and tradition of the D.C. United brand with the innovative reputation of Leidos, which is headquartered in Reston, Va., and is a top employer in the region.
"Mike has been instrumental in driving forward D.C. United's business initiatives, achieving immediate goals that have the team primed for long-term success," said D.C. United co-owner Jason Levien. "This is an important step as we solidify our corporate structure ahead of the 2014 MLS season."
