
Altitude and Rapids Announce 2014 Broadcast Schedule

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Friday, February 28, 2014) - The Colorado Rapids and Altitude announced today the broadcast schedule and talent for the 2014 Rapids season, with a total of 30 matches on Altitude. Coverage begins on Saturday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. MT for the Rapids' season opener against New York Red Bulls, live on Altitude.
This season, Altitude will be broadcasting 30 live matches including 16 home and 14 away games. The Rapids' broadcasts on Altitude will feature returning on-air talent, veteran English broadcaster, and journalist Richard Fleming on play-by-play duties, teaming up with Rapids legend Marcelo Balboa. Maya Starks will join Richard and Marcelo as the sideline reporter for all home Rapids broadcasts.

This partnership allows us to provide our fans with great Rapids programming throughout the season," said Rapids President Tim Hinchey. "We are thrilled to have Richard and Marcelo returning to call games after their success last season and encourage our fans to watch the Season Preview show to see what we have in store for the 2014 season."
Most live matches will include a special half-hour Rapids Kickoff pre-match show and all home games will feature a Rapids Locker Room Report post-match show. Julie Browman, Kyle Keefe, Blake Olson and Maya Starks will contribute regular reports throughout the season.
Fans can get excited for the 2014 season by tuning in to the Rapids Report: Season Preview show hosted by Marcelo Balboa and Richard Fleming, debuting on Monday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. MT on Altitude. Rapids Report will debut as a weekly show as of April 3 every Thursday at 5 p.m. MT and starting May 1 will air every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. MT.
Rapids Report will provide the fans news updates and features on everything from Rapids players, game previews, and updates on youth soccer from around the state of Colorado. New shows will run several times in March, and will become a weekly fixture on Altitude starting in April and running through the end of the 2014 season.
