ABERDEEN, MD - Brooklyn jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but needed to hold off a late inning rally from the IronBirds to hold on for a 6-5 win on Friday night in Aberdeen. The two teams combined to go 6-for-27 with runners in scoring position and struck out 29 times in the game that lasted 3:56 minutes.

BIG MOMENTS
Luke Ritter got things started for the Brooklyn bats with a two-out, two-RBI single in the top of the first. Ritter now has 28 RBI in road games, and 3 RBI at Maimonides Park.
With the tying run on second base in the bottom of the 7th, Andrew Edwards struck out Gunnar Henderson to end the threat. An inning later, with the tying run at third and the go-ahead run on second the southpaw struck out Chris Burgess and Shayne Fontana to keep the Cyclones in front, 6-5.
Making his return from the Injured List, Bryce Montes de Oca walked Jordan Westburg to start the bottom of the 9th but was able to work around the base runner to record his second save of the year.

SS Ronny Mauricio missed his second straight game with a sore hand...He is considered day-to-day.
The Cyclones have won two of the five games of the series and beat Aberdeen Friday night for the second time in nine tries.
Brett Baty collected his 15th multi-hit game to lead the team, while Antoine Duplantis tallied his 12th.
