BROOKLYN, NY - Hudson Valley's Ken Waldichuk fanned 10 batters as the Renegades beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, 5-3 Saturday afternoon in game five of six at Maimonides Park.
BIG MOMENTS
Yankees prospect Ken Waldichuk struck out 10 of the 14 batters he faced, allowing one hit and one walk to lead the Renegades to the victory. The southpaw had a stretch of five straight strikeouts from the second to the third inning.
Hudson Valley scored three runs in the third and two in the fourth to take a 5-0 lead against the Cyclones. Ezequiel Duran slammed a two-run double to highlight the third, while Frederick Cuevas' run-scoring double pushed the lead to 4-0.
Brooklyn's Anthony Walters drilled a single to center field in the sixth against reliever Charlie Ruegger, driving in Blake Tiberi to cut the deficit to 5-1. Walters added an RBI double in the eighth, part of Brooklyn's two-run frame to cut it to 5-3.

With the Saturday victory, the Renegades take a three games to two series lead heading into Sunday's finale.

Cyclones starter Cam Opp took the loss in his Brooklyn debut after being called up from Low-A St. Lucie on Monday.
