JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania - The Cincinnati Cyclones collected their 13th come-from-behind victory of the season in a 2-1 win at Johnstown on Saturday night. Goals 64 seconds apart in the third period gave Cincinnati the victory. The triumph gives the Cyclones 22 road wins this season, which will be the most in the league for the second straight season.

Johnstown scored the only goal of the first period with one second remaining in the frame, as Petr Pohl picked up his 30th score of the season on a goal mouth scramble. The first period featured a pair of fights, as Cincinnati's Mike Salekin and Matt Syroczynski had tilts. The shots on goal in the opening frame favored Cincinnati, 8-4.

Neither team was able to score in the second period, but the Cyclones had the best opportunity when Syroczynski rifled a shot off the left goal post. The physical nature again was apparent when heavyweights Justin Johnson (Cyclones) and Alex Penner (Johnstown) had at it midway through the frame. The shots on goal favored the Cyclones, 13-3.

The Cyclones got goals 64 seconds apart in the third period to claim the win. Barret Ehgoetz ripped a shot from the slot just inside the right goal post for his 22nd goal of the year at 6:03 from Dustin Sproat and Mike Salekin. Then, while on a power play at 7:07, Matt Syroczynski collected his 23rd score of the year from Ehgoetz and Mark Van Guilder. The shots on goal favored Cincinnati once again, 14-4. For the game, the Cyclones controlled the shots at 35-11.

Loic Lacasse took the victory, his tenth of the year-stopping ten of the eleven shots he faced. All-Star goaltender Kris Mayotte absorbed the loss, dropping his season record to 20-10-2, by stopping 33 of the 35 shots he faced.

Trenton leads the North Division with 82 points, the Cyclones are second with 81, Elmira is third with 79 and Johnstown and Wheeling are tied for fourth with 78 points apiece. The top four teams advance to the Kelly Cup playoffs from the division. It is the closest divisional race in the 21 year history of the ECHL.

The Cyclones are now 38-26-5 on the season, while Johnstown is 37-27-4. The Cyclones return to U.S. Bank Arena for three important games against Johnstown this week. Wednesday (April 1), Friday (April 3) and Saturday (April 4) will have the teams squaring off in the final games of the regular season.
