TONIGH'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones will look to get back on the winning track as they play host to the Wheeling Nailers for the first time this season. Last Friday night, the Nailers earned a 5-2 win over Cincinnati in the 2011-12 series opener. Since 2006, the Clones have accumulated a 35-30-0-1 record against the Nailers, 17 of those wins coming at U.S. Bank Arena.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: Mike Liambas Kids Jersey T-Shirt presented by Rumpke - The first 1,500 fans ages 2-12 will receive a Kids Jersey T-Shirt of #17 Mike Liambas.

SCOUTING THE NAILERS: The Nailers had their brief two-game wining streak snapped last night in shutout fashion, dropping a 3-0 decision to Toledo. Wheeling ranks second in the Atlantic Division standings and sits seven points back of Eastern Conference-leading Elmira. Rookie Chris Barton paces all ECHL first-year players and ranks tied for ninth in the league overall with 35 points (19 goals, 16 assists) in 31 games. He registered a three-point game against the Clones last week. Goaltender Patrick Killeen will be in net against Cincinnati tonight after spending last week in the American Hockey League. With the Nailers this season, the 2011 ECHL All-Star has earned a 10-9-1-1 record with a 2.87 goals-against average. A year ago, Killeen was 3-2 against the Cyclones.

About Last Night vs. Kalamazoo: Goaltender Maxime Clermont turned aside 31 shots while Trent Daavettila potted the game winning goal as the Wings defeated the Cyclones by a 3-1 final score in front of 4,989 at U.S. Bank Arena. David Leaderer posted the lone goal for Cincinnati, which dropped a home game in regulation for just the second time this season.

Home is Where the Wins Are: In 2011-12, the Cyclones have posted one of the top home records in the ECHL with an 11-2-0-2 mark. Their 11 triumphs at U.S. Bank Arena rank fourth-most while their two regulation defeats are a league-low. The Clones are just five regulation wins away from eclipsing last year's home total (15).

The Captain Returns: After a four-game stint with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Cyclones Captain Mathieu Aubin makes his return to Cincinnati. With his latest trip to the AHL, Aubin had a goal and an assist. With the Clones in 2011-12, he remains atop the team in scoring (27 points) and has etched his name on the scoresheet in 10 of his last 13 games.

Stayin' Stingy: Cincinnati remains one of the top defensive teams in the ECHL, allowing the fourth-lowest average shots per game (27.97) and lowest total shots allowed (839). They have been especially solid in the final period, allowing an ECHL third-fewest 28 goals in the final frame.
