
Yannick Riendeau Recalled to Providence

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Yannick Riendeau has been recalled by Boston and reassigned to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. In a separate transaction announced today, the Royals activated forward John Scrymgeour from the 21-Day Injured Reserve.
This marks the second recall of the year for Riendeau to Providence. He has played four games with the P-Bruins this year without registering an points or penalty minutes. Riendeau, who was riding a ten game point streak (3g-11a) for the Royals at the time of the recall, has twenty-nine points (9g-20a) and fourteen penalty minutes in thirty games for Reading this season. Scrymgeour sustained an injury on December 16, 2011, in a game against the Wheeling Nailers at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. He has three points (1g-2a) and eleven penalty minutes in fifteen games for Reading this year.
The Royals travel to Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey tonight (Saturday, January 14, 2012 @ 7:00 pm) where the team will face the Trenton Titans. Tonight's game night broadcast will start at 6:30 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. As with all Royals' road games this year, Saturday's game in Trenton will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
