
Cutler's walk-off HR sinks Kernels, 3-2

A walk-off home run by Charlie Cutler in the bottom of the 8th inning gave the Quad Cities River Bandits a 3-2 win over the Cedar Rapids Kernels on Saturday night at Modern Woodman Park in Davenport.
The Kernels scored their two runs on an RBI single by Alexi Amarista and a solo home run by Beau Brooks. Kernels starter Manuarys Correa allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits, walked three and struck out four over 3.2 innings in a no-decision effort. Jeremy Thorne (1-2) allowed just two hits over 3.1 innings, but was tagged with the loss.
Quad Cities starter Adam Veres allowed two runs on four hits and struck out six over five innings in a no-decision effort. Ramon Delgado (2-1) picked up the win, throwing three innings of scoreless relief.
