Currie Wins It in Overtime for Bakersfield, 4-3

BOISE - The Bakersfield Condors (24-27-3-5, 56pts), owned by the Edmonton Oilers, used two goals from C Josh Currie, including the overtime game-winning goal, to knock off the division-leading Idaho Steelheads (38-16-2-3, 81pts), 4-3, on Monday night at Century Link Arena. The win broke up Idaho's nine-game winning streak.

D Nick Pageau (2a), C Nick MacNeil (2a), and F Nick Zappia (2a) all had multi-point nights in the win.

FIRST PERIOD

IDAHO GOAL: F Wade MacLeod (28) broke in on a breakaway and snapped a shot past G Maxime Lagace; Assist: de Kastrozza; Time of goal: 3:29; IDH leads, 1-0

SECOND PERIOD

CONDORS GOAL: RW Jonathan Lessard (15) followed up a rebound at the top of the crease. Assist: MacNeil; Time of goal; :50; Game tied, 1-1

CONDORS GOAL: C Josh Currie (10) took a feed in front and redirected it past G Henri Kiviaho. Assists: Zappia, Pageau; Time of goal: 5:30; BAK leads, 2-1

IDAHO GOAL: F Devin DiDiomete (3) tipped a shot in the crease. Assist: Belzile; Time of goal: 5:58; Game tied, 2-2

CONDORS GOAL: F Andrew Radjenovic (2) wrist shot snuck through Kiviaho. Assists: MacNeil, Zappia; Time of goal: 7:18; BAK leads, 3-2

IDAHO GOAL: F Jason Bast (27) scored with the extra attacker on. Unassisted; Time of goal: 19:38; Game tied, 3-3

OVERTIME

Currie took a drop feed and backhanded a shot past the blocker. Assist: Pageau; Time of goal: 2:47; BAK wins, 4-3

G Maxime Lagace denied F Brett Robinson on a penalty shot in the second period. It was the second successful penalty shot attempt stopped by the Condors this season

Lagace is now 4-1-0-1 with the Condors

Eight of the ten games between Bakersfield and Idaho have been decided by one goal with five games going to overtime

The Condors have gone to overtime in four of their last six games
