Nightingale Returns to Walleye

Toledo, OH - Defenseman Jared Nightingale has returned to Toledo from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL). In a separate move the Walleye have added Perrysburg native Matt Cooper as an emergency backup goaltender.

Nightingale has a goal, two assists and 17 penalty minutes in thirteen games with the Walleye this season. He has played with four different teams in the AHL, including a pair of games in Grand Rapids. The 32-year-old defenseman picked up an assist in six games with Milwaukee. Prior to that he appeared in 20 games with Norfolk collecting one assist and 32 penalty minutes. The Jackson, Michigan native had an assist and was plus five in six games in Hartford earlier this year.

The Walleye are home Wednesday against Orlando and on Saturday against Indy.
