
Arseneau Recalled, Traded to AHL Worcester

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Tuesday that forward Vincent Arseneau, a 6'2", 200 lb. left-handed shooter and native of Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, was recalled by the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL on Monday before being traded to the AHL's Worcester Sharks. Indy will retain Arseneau's rights at the "AA" level.
Loaned to the Fuel by Manchester on January 14th, Arseneau registered nine goals, 14 points and 132 penalty minutes in 37 ECHL appearances for the Fuel and the Ontario Reign this season including eight goals, 12 points and 70 penalty minutes in 20 appearances with Indy.
Arseneau, 22, has one assist and 95 penalty minutes to his credit in 24 career AHL appearances for the Lake Erie Monsters in parts of two seasons from 2012 to 2014 and helped the CHL's Denver Cutthroats to a President's Cup Finals appearance in 2013-14 with 24 goals, 37 points and 120 penalty minutes in 47 games played.
Prior to his professional career, Arseneau tallied 52 career goals, 108 total points and 632 combined penalty minutes in five seasons in the QMJHL from 2008 to 2013 with Acadie-Bathurst Titan and the Shawnigan Cataractes.
Next up for the Fuel, it's a "Friday the Thirteenth" clash vs. the Evansville IceMen with the opening faceoff set for 7:35 pm at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
