(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - Four no-hit innings from Canadians starter RHP Dan McDaniel helped limit the potent Aquasox offense as Vancouver topped Everett 1-0 to open a three game series out at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium on Friday night in front of 3,904 screaming fans.

McDaniel made his first professional start, as the Canadians begin the process of aligning their rotation for the 2010 post-season, and delivered a standout performance. Four scoreless, hitless innings gave the Canadians a morale boost before RHP Pedro Vidal (2.0IP), LHP Jake Brown (2.0IP) and RHP Logan Chitwood (1.0IP) came in to shut down the Everett offense over the remaining five frames.

The only run of the game came in the bottom of the 5th inning when Canadians 1B Marcos Luis flared a single into shallow center field scoring 3B Nino Leyja from third base giving Vancouver a 1-0 lead.

With the win, Vancouver moves to 25-11 (.694) on the second half, five full games better than Everett who dropped to 20-16 (.555) with just two games remaining in the regular season.
