Colorado Crush News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Crush released their 2005 regular season schedule today, and the 2004 Arena Football League Semifinalists will kickoff their third season on the road as they visit the Orlando Predators on January 30. The Crush home opener will come the following week as they host Central Division rival, the Grand Rapids Rampage, on Saturday, February 5.

The Crush will play eight games against teams that finished 2004 with a winning record, and seven against playoff teams from a year ago (at Orlando, Chicago-twice, at Arizona, Los Angeles, San Jose, at New Orleans). They will also play home-and-home series with Central Division foes Chicago, Grand Rapids, and the expansion Nashville Kats. The Crush's bye week comes in Week 6.

Half of the Crush's 16 regular season games will be televised regionally by NBC, and several others will be carried in the Denver Metro area by Comcast.

Other 2005 schedule highlights include:

* The Crush travel to the place where their Cinderella run ended last season for a 2004 AFL Semifinals rematch in the desert with the Arizona Rattlers on Sunday, February 20 in Week 4. The Rattlers defeated the Crush 45-41 for the right to go to the ArenaBowl a year ago.

* Rock vs. Jock 3 - John Elway and the Crush look for the hat trick vs. Jon Bon Jovi and his Philadelphia Soul squad on Sunday, April 10 at the Pepsi Center and NBC game. The teams met twice a year ago, with the Crush sweeping both ends of a home-and-home series.

* The Crush return to the site of their first playoff win when they travel to New Orleans to face the VooDoo on Sunday, May 8 in an NBC game. Colorado won in New Orleans 47-44 in the AFL Quarterfinals a season ago.

The Colorado Crush are currently accepting deposits for season tickets. The Crush sales staff is available from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (MT) Monday thru Friday at (720) 258-3400.
