Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA, FL -- The Tampa Bay Storm will open the 2005 season at home against the defending ArenaBowl champion San Jose SaberCats, kicking off a fan-friendly schedule that features four Saturday night home dates and four Sunday afternoon tilts at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Season tickets for the 2005 Storm season start at just $99 and are on sale now at the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office. Season ticket packages include the eight-game home regular season slate, plus a ticket to the Storm's first home playoff game in 2005.
"Tampa Bay Storm football is real fantasy football", said Storm head coach Tim Marcum, the winningest coach in AFL history. "We have high scoring, adrenaline injected arena action and we win championships. You can't beat that, especially when the price is right and the schedule is so fan-friendly."
The season opener on Saturday, January 29, renews Tampa Bay's traditional Saturday night kickoffs. After listening to strong fan feedback, the Storm made it a priority to schedule more Saturday night contests. Last season the Storm did not have any home games on Saturday night. This is the most Saturday night home games for the Storm since the 2002 season.
The 2005 schedule features home contests against Southern Division foes Orlando, Georgia, New Orleans, and Austin. The contest against Austin will be played on Super Bowl Sunday, and the contests against Orlando, Georgia, and New Orleans will all be played on Saturday night.
In addition to the home-and-home series against the Southern Division, Tampa Bay will take on San Jose, Arizona, New York, and Grand Rapids at home and face Philadelphia, Nashville, Los Angeles, and Columbus on the road.
Starting at just $99, Storm season tickets are one of the best entertainment values in all of Tampa Bay. In addition to championship caliber football, Storm games in 2005 will feature exciting pregame and postgame parties and a festive in-arena atmosphere.
Lower-level reserved sideline season tickets range from $250-$350. Reserved club-level sideline season tickets are $295. Lower-level endzone season tickets are $195, while club-level endzone season tickets are $130.
Season tickets for the five-time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm may be purchased at the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office or by calling (813) 301-6600. Storm fans can also purchase season tickets online at www.tampabaystorm.com.
