Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters lost to Aberdeen Wednesday night 11-2. The Cutters starting pitching continued to struggle as RHP Luis Munoz (5-3) went just 2.1 innings, giving up 5 hits, 8 runs, and walked 4 batters. 1B Steven Pearce went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI. Pearce set a new Williamsport short season record with 25 doubles. DH James Boone went 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. The Crosscutters are now 2 1/2 games behind Lowell for the wild card playoff spot. The Cutters host Aberdeen again Thursday night at Bowman Field.
