Coyotes Recall Mikkel Boedker from San Antonio

(GLENDALE, ARIZONA) - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Mikkel Boedker from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes' American Hockey League affiliate.

In 35 games with the Rampage this season, the 5-foot-11, 202-pound Boedker has recorded 10 goals and 21 assists for 31 points. Boedker is tied for the team lead in assists and ranks second on the team in points. His plus-10 rating is also second best on the team. Boedker has played in four games with the Coyotes this season and has recorded one assist.

Last season, the 21-year-old native of Brondby, Denmark, played in 64 games with the Rampage, registering 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points. He also played in 14 games with the Coyotes collecting a goal and two assists. Boedker was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (8th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
