McKenzie Returns to Chicago

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned right wing IAN McKENZIE from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators to the Chicago Wolves.

McKENZIE has collected six assists, eight points and 37 penalty minutes in 32 games with Gwinnett this season. He also has skated in one American Hockey League game with the Wolves this year, posting two penalty minutes.

Last year, the 23-year-old forward registered one goal and 14 penalty minutes in 24 AHL outings with the Milwaukee Admirals and five points (3G, 2A) and 48 penalty minutes in 24 ECHL contests with the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Overall, the Weyburn, Saskatchewan, native has recorded five points (4G, A) and 47 penalty minutes in 51 career AHL contests with Chicago and Milwaukee, and amassed 17 goals, 28 points and 141 penalty minutes in 96 career ECHL outings with Gwinnett and Cincinnati, spanning three seasons (2008-2011).
