Coyotes Acquire Tinordi and Fournier in Exchange for Bartley and Scott

Springfield, MA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have traded defenseman Stefan Elliott to the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman Victor Bartley. The Coyotes then traded Bartley and forward John Scott to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for defenseman Jarred Tinordi and forward Stefan Fournier.

The 23-year-old Tinordi has appeared in three games with the Canadiens this season. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound native of Burnsville, Minnesota has also recorded 0-2-2 and six penalty minutes (PIM) in six games with the St. John's IceCaps (AHL). Tinordi has registered 0-6-6 and 66 PIM in 46 career NHL games with Montreal. He was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.

The 23-year-old Fournier has recorded 5-2-7 and 65 PIM in 24 games with the IceCaps this season. The 6-foot-3, 224-pound native of Montreal, Quebec was originally signed by the Canadiens to an entry-level contract on July 6, 2013.

The Falcons return to the MassMutual Center tonight for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff against the Hartford Wolf Pack. The Teddy Bear Pools and Spas chuck-a-puck grand prize has reached $3,600.
