The New Orleans Zephyrs outfielder Scott Cousins hit for the cycle in the Z's 8-3 win in Oklahoma City. Cousins delivered a home run, triple, double and delivered a single in the top of the ninth inning to get the Z's first cycle since May 11, 2002. The win snapped a six game losing streak for New Orleans. Brian Lawrence pitched seven innings allowed two runs on hits and struckout 8 batters to earn his first win of the season. Cousins led the team with 4 hits but Hector Luna added three hits and two RBI. Guillermo Moscoso pitched 5 innings allowed 5 runs and took the loss for the division leading Redhawks.

Game Notes: The cycle for the Z's was the first since Barry Wesson accomplished it in 2002. Cousins did it in reverse order, homered, tripled, doubled and singled in his final at bat. The Marlins have promoted pitcher Hunter Jones from the Zephyrs. He will replace Clay Hensley in the Marlins bullpen. Hensley has been placed on the bereavement list. The Z's added reliever AJ Battisto from Class AA Jacksonville.

Coming Up: The Zephyrs will take on the first place Oklahoma City Redhawks on Sunday at Bricktown Ballpark at 4:05. New Orleans will start RH Jorge Sosa (1-1, 6.00) against LH Michael Ballard (2-0, 4.29) RADIO: 106.1 FM WMTI
